EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN
Mr. Neugarten has over 35 years of senior managerial experience, and over 15 years of experience in the medical industry.
He brings to Rainbow Medical significant experience in medical devices venture capital investments, commercialization, and asset realization.
Mr. Neugarten joined the Viola Partners Group in 2000 as a partner of DOR Ventures, a VC fund focusing on imaging technologies.
During his period at DOR Ventures he led various investments including medical imaging ventures.
Since 2006, he led the healthcare investments of Viola Partners, and currently serves on the boards of Angioslide, NanoPass, and PainReform. Prior to joining the Viola Partners Group, he worked for Scitex (NASDAQ:SCIX) in various management positions in Europe, Japan, and Israel.
He received his BSc in Electronics from the Technion, Haifa Israel, and an MBA from Boston University.
EFI COHEN-ARAZI

Mr. Cohen-Arazi has over 20 years of experience in the medical and biotech industries including executive management responsibilities for both development and business. Prior to founding Rainbow Medical, Mr. Cohen-Arazi served as CEO of IntecPharma Israel, a company specializing in drug development and delivery. Before this, he was VP corporate manufacturing, head of contract manufacturing, and site head at US-based Amgen Corporation, where Mr. Cohen-Arazi founded and led several global strategic partnerships to develop and manufacture small molecules and biopharmaceuticals. Mr. Cohen-Arazi has held senior positions at Immunex in the US and the Merck-Serono Group in Switzerland.
Mr. Cohen-Arazi holds a master’s degree in agriculture and microbiology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
MR. YOSSI GROSS
FOUNDER & CEO
Mr. Gross is a medical device industry visionary, and one of its most experienced and successful entrepreneurs. Mr. Gross is a founding partner of Rainbow Medical. Mr. Gross first started his professional career as a project manager of the Lavi (IAI Lavi) program for the Israel Air Force. Since then, Mr. Gross has founded and co-founded over 27 medical device companies providing innovative solutions to significant unmet medical needs. He is the owner of more than 700 patent and patent applications.
Mr. Gross holds an MSc degree in aeronautical engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel.
YUVAL MANDELBAUM
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Mr. Mandelbaum brings to Rainbow Medical significant experience in business development, strategy, operations, due-diligence and deal making in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
Prior to joining Rainbow Medical, Mr. Mandelbaum served as a business and corporate development director at the Neopharm Group, and previously led business development efforts at LDD Advanced Technologies, focused primarily on opportunities in East Asia.
Mr. Mandelbaum holds a B.Sc. with honors in Cognitive Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an Executive MBA from Tel-Aviv University.
YOSSI COHEN
CFO
Mr. Cohen brings to Rainbow Medical significant experience in finance, taxes, accounting, and M&As. Prior to joining Rainbow Medical, Mr. Cohen served as group corporate controller for several companies among them SuperDerivatives Ltd., Verisity Ltd. (NASDAQ: VRST. Mr. Cohen spent four years in public accounting at Kesselman & Kesselman (PwC Israel) in Tel Aviv and PricewaterhouseCoopers in San Jose, California, where he was responsible for hi-tech clients.
Mr. Cohen is certified as a CPA in Israel, and holds a BA in economics and accounting and an executive MBA, both from Bar-Ilan University.
ROY KATZ
VP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Mr. Katz brings to Rainbow Medical a strong cross-cultural leadership and business experience in the medical device industry, in both startups and large corporations. Prior to joining Rainbow Medical, Mr. Katz served as marketing director for Rhythmia Medical, a venture-backed medical device startup that was acquired by Boston Scientific in 2012. Previously, Mr. Katz held several marketing positions at Medtronic.
Mr. Katz holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, a master’s degree in engineering management from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and a B.Sc. in engineering from the Technion in Haifa.
Mr. Katz is based in Boston, MA.
INGRID YE, PHD
VP AND CHINA HEAD
Dr. Ye has lived in China, Singapore, and Israel, and brings cross-border education and cross-industry working experience. Prior to joining Rainbow Medical, Dr. Ye worked as a private banker and investment banker (IPO/pre-IPO) at Hong Leong Investment Bank/Kim Eng Securities in Singapore. She also served as the Chief Investment Officer at Toshare Group; board member of the Beijing Guoli Energy Investment Group; lecturer at Sichuan Education Institute; and VP at a mobile phone and laptop company in the TOP Group.
Dr. Ye holds a PhD in management, an international MBA with a focus on entrepreneurship and finance, a healthcare technological innovation EMBA, a master’s degree in public administration, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
Dr. Ye is based in Shanghai.

VP AND HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION
Ms. Lavian brings to Rainbow Medical extensive business development, marketing, and administrative experience in the bio-pharmaceutical and other sectors. Prior to joining Rainbow Medical, she helped to found IntecPharma Israel, a company specializing in drug development and delivery, and served as its business development manager, responsible for introducing its platform to the industry. Previously, she held senior marketing positions at a number of large international project management firms.
SHIRLEY GIORINI-SILFEN, PHD
CHIEF REGULATORY AND CLINICAL OFFICER
Dr. Shirley Giorini-Silfen brings to Rainbow Medical over 15 years of experience in the medical device industry.Prior to joining Rainbow Medical, she served as VP of clinical and regulatory affairs at Gardia Medical, where she managed the product development process from concept to clinical studies in Europe, and to pre-IDE approval in the USA. In addition, she served as VP of BioControl Medical BCM, a company acquired by AMS, USA; and directed the clinical and regulatory department at Medtronic-InStent, a startup in the field of cardiovascular stents, acquired by Medtronic, Inc.
Dr. Giorini-Silfen holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in microbiology from Tel Aviv University, and a PhD. in molecular biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science.

Mr. Recanati is one of Israel’s premier business figures, and is currently chairman and CEO of GlenRock Israel. Prior to founding GlenRock in 2003, he served as chairman and CEO of IDB Holding Corporation Ltd., one of the largest investment companies in Israel; as chairman of Clal Industries and Investments Ltd.; and as chairman of Azorim Investment Development and Construction, Ltd. Until 1997, Mr. Recanati was chairman of the Delek Israel Fuel Corporation and chairman of Super-Sol (a leading Israeli retail corporation), in addition to holding several other positions at a variety of operating companies in Israel.

MR. BORIS KALANDAR
Mr. Kalandar is the founder of SVM Advisors, LLC, a 15-year-old boutique technology merchant bank, and the SVM-Israel investment fund. He is also a co-founder of MentorTech Ventures, a top quartile VC firm focused on the University of Pennsylvania related companies. He is a former senior executive at SMG, Inc., which was named three times in the “Inc. 500” fastest-growing companies list, and has led its $50M private equity re-capitalization exit. Mr. Kalandar is an investment advisor to Ben Franklin Technology Partners, and a board member of various med-tech companies, including NeuroDx, Eye-IC, Soft Tissue Regeneration, and Syntezza Molecular Detection.

MR. ORI ELAN
Mr. Elan played a leading role in founding Real Imaging, a medical device company that created a comprehensive imaging solution for breast cancer detection. He currently serves as executive director of Real Imaging, and is responsible for its equity financing transactions. Previously, Mr. Elan served as a senior consultant for POC, a company specializing in business strategy, programs, processes, and projects. Mr. Elan has also founded a multinational medical device company with significant sales from the design and manufacture of a device to alleviate back pain. Since 2006, Mr. Elan has additionally been active in international real estate ventures.
JOEL P. WYLER, PHD
Dr. Wyler is an entrepreneur with extensive knowledge and many years of experience in multi-national companies, international trade, shipping, and logistics. He currently holds several senior positions: Chairman of Granaria Holdings B.V.; Partner in ACPI Investments Ltd.; Board member of Cocon Vastgoed B.V, Chairman of the European advisory board of Afiniti; and Director of IBEX Global.
